You are not a surfer if…

Surfers are made, not born, but once we are 100% involved in this passion it becomes difficult to get out of it and, above all, not to make this sport a complete lifestyle. All the campers who visit us at Raz SurfCamp leave with this bug and most of you come back or dedicate yourselves to chasing waves all over the world. Therefore, you will understand that you can’t say you are a surfer if you haven’t felt or experienced these situations:

Arguing with a friend, family member or even a partner: because you can’t make them understand that you prefer to spend two hours in the car looking for waves, even if in the end you don’t find any, than going to the cinema, to a family meal, to have a drink… You also like to do all those things, but first things first, and surf or die!

Leaving the house when your mates come home to party. You had never suspected the existence of your extraordinary ability to get up early until the predictions called for it. If you have to sacrifice a night of partying and get up when some of them are still partying… go for it! Let it all be for good waves… and what a sunrise!

Surf with your mind and fly with the videos of the pros. And how healthy it is! We’ve all done it and dreamed of being like the great Slater… and this feeds our ambition, our desire to improve… and our frikisimo to extreme levels! 🙂 And what do you say about all the hook-ups we get for the championships? Each round is a spectacle.

Finding sand in unexpected places. Yes… sand in the car, in the shower, in the bedroom… even in bed! And no, you can’t call yourself a surfer if when you see them you don’t smile or, at least, a great memory of your last swim comes to mind.

Having done or planning to do a surftrip. Because your holidays are meant to be spent surfing… We all have paradise in our minds as getting up and surfing, eating and surfing, relaxing and enjoying the beach and its atmosphere… and catching waves instead of Pokémons!

This season you have shown us that each and every one of you are true surfers in heart, spirit and motivation… you are the best, come on! The best surfers and mini-surfers in the world.
