Well… Endless Summer has left us almost with tears in our eyes, what a brutal summer! The truth is that every year is magical in Raz Surf Camp, of course, thanks to all of you who not only come to Razo with the desire to receive the best surf lessons, but full of good vibes and with the necessary disposition to become part of this great family and, above all, to create truly unforgettable memories… thank you!
As you’re all back to the routine, we’ve brought you some homework (but one of those cool ones) related to another unforgettable surfing milestone: Andy Irons. Surely you were aware of the documentary that has been brewing for a long time about the triple world champion… Eight years have passed since his tragic death and, at last, the documentary about his life will be released. The bad news is that it will not be released in any cinema in Galicia but, the Raz SurfCampers of Barcelona are lucky because you will be able to see it on the 23rd in Girona cinemas. The rest of us will have to settle for watching it at home, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t be able to enjoy such a promising film.
We know it’s not a very encouraging story to get through the first few days without waking up in Razo but… it’s surfing history and, according to the producers, the film will also serve to raise awareness about certain illnesses such as bipolar disorder (which Irons suffered from) that need to be given visibility, so it’s worth taking the time to understand it.
Anyway, we hope you’ll apply yourselves and do your homework while you think about which camp you want to come surfing next year 😉.
